1. Types of safety protection devices
Emergency brake device
This is a common safety protection device. When the operator finds that the machine has an abnormal situation, such as a broken needle, a stuck fabric, or a body part accidentally approaches the danger zone, press the emergency brake button and the machine will stop running immediately. For example, in some high-speed quilting machines, the emergency brake device can completely stop the machine within 1-2 seconds to avoid further expansion of the accident.
2. Guardrails and protective covers
Guardrails are usually installed around the machine to prevent operators from accidentally touching the transmission parts during the operation of the machine. For example, guardrails are set around the moving parts such as the needle bar and rotary shuttle of the quilting machine. The height and clearance design meet safety standards and can effectively prevent human parts from entering the danger zone. Protective covers are mainly used to protect some parts that are easy to cause harm to operators, such as motors, pulleys, etc. The protective cover is generally made of transparent or translucent materials, which can not only play a protective role, but also facilitate the operator to observe the operation of the machine.
3. Photoelectric sensing device
The photoelectric sensing device uses the principle of light blocking to detect whether foreign objects have entered the dangerous area. Photoelectric sensors are installed at the edge of the working area of the quilting machine. When an object (such as a human hand) blocks the light, the sensor will immediately transmit a signal to the control system to stop the machine. This device has a fast response speed and can respond in an instant, greatly improving the safety of the machine.
